Greetings Luminaries! This week we would like to show you the process behind creating Victoria, one of your companions through the story of Soul Locus!
The first concepts for Victoria explored some variation in shape not only for her body, but also her tail. While not in the direct line of Ambrose, Victoria is a distant relative and also takes design cues from the ginko plant.
This sketch from our creative lead shows some more critique on Victoria's design. We wanted a strong contrast versus the short, round shape of Chip. Victoria's long, graceful body suits that well!
These expression portraits locked down Victoria's design and also helped flesh out her character. She's ferocious when she's angry!
